Rotating Skid Shoes
c CAUTION: Avoid injury! Rotating auger is dangerous.
Before making adjustment:
· Park machine safely and lock park brake before getting off of seat.
· Turn snow blower off.
· Stop engine.
· Wait for all moving parts to stop.
· Disconnect spark plug wire(s) to prevent engine from starting accidently.
|
IMPORTANT: Avoid damage! Skid shoes are subject to wear and are designed for easy replacement. Replace before wear is excessive to prevent damage to auger housing or snow auger.
|
Skid shoes often wear unevenly. Right and left skid shoes can be rotated to prolong service life.
1. Raise snow blower.
2. Place wood blocks under both ends of scraper.
3. Lower snow blower scraper onto blocks.
MX10279
4. Remove six lock nuts (A) which secure skid shoes.
5. Rotate skid shoes to opposite sides of auger housing. Keep flat side of skid shoe against auger housing.
6. Secure skid shoes to auger housing using original lock nuts.
7. Adjust skid shoes (see Adjusting Skid Shoes in Operating section).
