Install Machine Weights and Chains

c CAUTION: Avoid injury!

• The machine may become unstable when operating with attachment.

• Use of two 19 kg (42 lb.) suitcase weights with weight bracket is required to improve stability when operating with attachment.

• Remove weights from machine after attachment is removed.

NOTE: Before attaching snow blade, remove mower deck from machine. (See Removing and Storing Mower section in Machine Operator’s Manual.)

Two 19 kg (42 lb.) rear suitcase weights with weight bracket are required for stability. Rear tire chains are recommended for traction (check your machine operator’s manual for tire size). See your Authorized Service Center for tire chain, weight, and weight bracket part numbers.

Install Pivot Support

c CAUTION: Avoid injury! Attachment is heavy.

Keep hands and feet out from under attachment when removing or installing.

1. Insert pins on right and left hitch plates (A) into notches in right and left mounting brackets (B). Make sure pins on both sides are completely inserted.

2. Install two 5/8X1-1/2 in. clevis pins and 1/8 in. spring locking pins (C).

3. Tighten 8 mm screws, left loose from installing the mounting brackets.

Install Blade

1. Align holes in pivot support bracket (A) with second holes from end of push channel assembly (B).

2. Insert channel pivot pin (C) and 17/32 in. washer (D) through holes from left.

3. Secure with 3/32 in. spring locking pin (E).

Install Lift Handle

1. Install lift handle rod (A) into end hole in push channel assembly (B).

2. Insert lift link pin in pivot support bracket (C) into lift handle rod. Install 17/32 in. washer (D) and 3/32 in. spring locking pin (E).

Install Blade Pivot Rod

1. Install either end of blade pivot rod (A) down through blade pivot shaft (B).

2. Install other end of blade pivot rod through lift handle tube (C).

3. Secure both ends with 3/32 in. spring locking pins (D).

Lubricate Snow Blade

Lubricate lift handle rod and pivot points as described in Service section.
