Installing

Preparing the Machine

• Install Mower Deck Attaching Kit on 2210 Compact Utility Tractor.

• Check tire pressure.

Installing Mower

1. Pull back rockshaft control lever to raise lift arms to highest position.

2. Park vehicle safely. (See Parking Safely in the Safety section.)

IMPORTANT: Avoid damage! Mower deck lift system can be damaged if lift arms are not adjusted correctly. Check adjustment each time mower is installed to allow gap between lift arms and frame stop at full lift height.

MX16511

3. Check that the lift arm (A) does not contact the frame stop (B). If needed, adjust yokes (C) on both sides of mower until there is a slight gap of 1.6mm (1/16 in.) on both sides.

• Remove spring locking pin (D) and drilled pin (E) from each lift arm.

• Turn each yoke (C) clockwise to raise the lift arm.

• Turn each yoke (C) counterclockwise to lower the lift arm.

• Attach each yoke to lift arm with drilled pin (E) and spring locking pin (D).

4. Put mower deck PTO driveshaft on top of deck so driveshaft does not catch on gauge wheels.

c CAUTION: Avoid injury! Rotating blades are dangerous. Before adjusting or servicing mower:

• Disconnect spark plug wire(s) or battery negative (-) cable to prevent engine from starting accidently.

• Always wear gloves when handling mower blades or working near blades.

5. Slide deck under machine from left side.

MX11077

6. Hook up coupler on deck PTO driveshaft (F) to the front PTO drive stub shaft on the transmission. When coupler locks onto stub shaft, push coupler fully forward and then pull backward to make sure coupler is latched.

7. Adjust mower height control knob to INSTALL position.

8. Start machine and push rockshaft control lever forward to lower draft arms.

9. Turn off machine.

10. Put each tractor rear lift arm (G) between brackets (H) on mower deck.

11. Lock tractor rear lift arm in place with spring loaded J-pin (I).

MX16527

12. Hook front deck hanger (J) onto deck and then onto machine.

MX16528

13. Move release latch (K) up and lock pin into hole.

14. Start engine and pull back rockshaft control lever to raise deck to highest position.

15. Turn off engine.

NOTE: Turn all gauge wheel handles down and in towards the machine.

MX11075

16. Turn gauge wheels to mowing position.

a. Pull back on gauge wheel release rod (L).

b. Turn gauge wheel (M) out, away from deck, and move to desired position.

c. Insert release rod in hole.

17. Adjust mower height control knob to desired position.

Adjust Lift Arms

Check Height of Lift Arms

1. Mower height control knob must turn 360?. If knob does not turn 360?, adjust height.

2. Start machine and pull back rockshaft control lever to raise arms.

3. Turn mower height control knob 360?. If knob does not turn, push rockshaft control lever forward to lower arms.

4. Stop machine.

MX16517a

5. Loosen nuts (A) on both sides of lift rod assembly (B).

MX16525a

6. Turn lift rod assembly (B) to lengthen distance between points (C) and (D), the centerline of yoke holes, to 625 mm (24.6 in.).

7. Hand tighten nuts.

8. Start machine and pull back rockshaft control lever to raise arms.

9. Turn mower height control knob 360?.

• If knob does not turn 360?, adjust length of lift rod assembly between points (C) and (D) 1-2 mm at a time until knob turns around 360?.

Check Lift Arm Clearance

IMPORTANT: Avoid damage! Set 2 mm clearance between lift arm and machine frame stud (E).

MX16511

1. If needed, adjust clearance to 2 mm (.08 in.) on both sides between lift arm and machine frame stud (E).

2. Start machine and pull back rockshaft control lever to raise arms.

3. Remove spring-locking pin (F) and drilled pin from each arm.

4. Turn each yoke (G) clockwise to raise arm.

5. Turn each yoke (G) counterclockwise to lower arm.

6. Attach each yoke to lift arm with drilled pin and spring-locking pin.

7. Start machine and push rockshaft control lever forward to lower arms.

8. Park machine safely.
