Required Equipment

c CAUTION: Avoid injury! DO NOT operate backhoe without front loader and tall folding Roll Over Protection System (ROPS) mounted on tractor. Loader provides front ballast for better steering control and makes tractor/backhoe more stable during backhoe operation. Tall folding ROPS provides necessary headroom while sitting on backhoe seat. Mount rear wheels in the widest position for maximum stability.

Before operating the backhoe, tractor rear wheels must be mounted in widest position, and the following equipment must be installed on the tractor. See your John Deere dealer.

• Front Loader

• Tall Folding Roll Over Protection System (ROPS)

• Power Beyond hydraulic kit

Install Socket for Slow Moving Vehicle Sign (2320, 2520)

1. Remove two bolts and slow moving vehicle (SMV) sign from left side of tractor ROPS.

2. Install socket (A) for SMV sign with two 5/16x3/4 bolts, lockwashers and nuts supplied with backhoe parts.

• If bracket on ROPS does not have upper hole for socket installation, position socket on lower hole on bracket to locate and drill 11/32 upper hole in ROPS bracket.
