Installing


Attaching Backhoe To Tractor

c CAUTION: Avoid injury! Operator must be seated in tractor seat when positioning tractor for backhoe installation.

Picture Note: When installed, bottom notches (A) in backhoe frame will rest on bottom hooks (B) of backhoe mounts. Top holes (C) in backhoe frame with align with holes (D) in backhoe mounts.

1. Back tractor up until approximately 20 cm (8 in.) from backhoe.

2. Park tractor safely.

3. Route backhoe hydraulic hoses (E) through hose guide (F) and connect to hoses from tractor (G).

4. Remove backhoe boom lock pin (H).

IMPORTANT: Avoid damage! Be careful not to disconnect or damage hydraulic hoses when moving tractor.


5. Back tractor closer to backhoe and use backhoe control levers to align backhoe frame with backhoe mounts on tractor.

6. Use pins (I) to secure backhoe to tractor:

a. Use stabilizer control levers to raise or lower stabilizers as needed to position notches in backhoe frame above mount hooks.

b. Reposition tractor hooks under notches.

c. Use stabilizer control levers to lower stabilizers until notches rest in hooks.

d. Use boom control lever to rotate backhoe to align top holes, and install pins (I).

7. Check to be sure hydraulic hoses are routed away from pinch points.

8. Remove backhoe swing lock pin (J).

9. From the operator's seat, bleed the system by doing the following:

a. Raise and lower stabilizers.

b. Raise and lower boom.

c. Extend and retract dipperstick.

d. Curl and dump bucket.

e. Swing boom from side to side.

10. Install swing lock pin (J) and boom lock pin (K).

11. Park tractor safely.

Bleed Hydraulic System

1. Run engine at low idle.

2. Check to be sure operating area is clear.

3. Operate control levers to move all cylinders several times until backhoe runs smoothly.
