Service Interval Chart


Servicing Your Machine

Please use the following timetables to perform routine maintenance on your machine.

IMPORTANT: Avoid damage! If you operate vehicle in extreme heat, dust or other severe conditions, service more often than shown below.


Before Each Use

· Check engine oil level.

· Check transmission oil level.

· Check coolant level.

· Check hydraulic oil level-auxiliary oil reservoir tank.

· Test safety interlock system.

After Each Use

· Clean debris from operator station.

· Clean air intake screen and fan shroud.

· Check for loose, missing, or damaged parts.

· Check fuel gauge, fill if necessary.

Break-in-After First 10 Hours

· Check tire pressure.

· Check tightness of wheel hardware.

· Check for loose hardware.

Break-in-After First 50 Hours

· Change engine oil and filter.

· Change transmission oil and filter.

· Clean transmission oil strainer.

· 4WD Models: Check front axle oil.

· Check brake fluid level.

· Check air intake hose, hydraulic hoses, radiator hoses and clamps.

· Check alternator belt wear and tension.

· Change hydraulic oil and filter-auxiliary hydraulic tank.

Every 100 Hours

· Check tightness of wheel hardware.

· Change engine oil and filter.

· 4WD Models: Lubricate driveshaft-three fittings.

· 4WD Models: Check front axle oil.

· Check air cleaner elements.

· Gas Models: Clean and gap spark plugs.

· Check battery electrolyte level.

Every 200 Hours

· Change engine oil and filter.

· Diesel Models: Clean fuel sediment bowl.

· Check and clean radiator cooling fins.

· Clean oil cooler coils-auxiliary hydraulic kit.

· Check battery electrolyte level.

· Check alternator belt wear and tension.

· Check air intake hose, hydraulic hoses, radiator hoses and clamps.

Every 450 Hours

· Change transmission oil and filter.

· Change hydraulic oil and filter-auxiliary hydraulic kit (optional).

· 4WD Models: Change front axle oil.

· Change hydraulic oil and filter-auxiliary reservoir tank.

· Check toe-in adjustment (See the technical manual or your John Deere dealer.)

Yearly

· Check coolant freeze point and clarity.

· Replace fuel filter.

· Clean battery.

As Needed

· Replace alternator belt.

· Replace air cleaner elements.

· Replace fuses.

· Clean or replace battery.

· Replace light bulbs.

· Check tire pressure.

· Add brake fluid.

· Adjust park brake linkage. (See the technical manual or your John Deere dealer.)

· Adjust clutch pedal linkage. (See the technical manual or your John Deere dealer.)

· Adjust accelerator pedal linkage. (See the technical manual or your John Deere dealer.)
