Installing Mower

1. Pull back top hydraulic lever (A) to raise lift arms to highest position.

2. Park vehicle safely. (See Parking Safely in the Safety section.)

3. Check that the lift arm (B) does not contact the frame stop (C). If needed, adjust yokes (D) on both sides of mower until there is a slight gap of 1.6mm (1/16 in.) on both sides.

• Remove spring locking pin (E) and drilled pin (F) from each lift arm.

• Turn each yoke (D) clockwise to raise the lift arm.

• Turn each yoke (D) counterclockwise to lower the lift arm.

• Attach each yoke to lift arm with drilled pin (F) and spring locking pin (E).

4. Put mower deck PTO driveshaft on top of deck so driveshaft does not catch on gauge wheels.

c CAUTION: Avoid injury! Rotating blades are dangerous. Before adjusting or servicing mower: • Disconnect spark plug wire(s) or battery negative (-) cable to prevent engine from starting accidently. • Always wear gloves when handling mower blades or working near blades.

NOTE: If machine is an All Wheel Steering (AWS) with linkage on left, or if machine has a power flow attached, install/remove deck from right side.

5. Slide deck under machine from left side.

6. Hook up coupler on deck PTO driveshaft (G) to the front PTO drive stub shaft on the transmission. When coupler locks onto stub shaft, push coupler fully forward and then pull backward to make sure coupler is latched.

7. Adjust mower height control knob to lowest cutting position.

8. Start machine and push top hydraulic lever forward to lower draft arms.

9. Turn off machine.

10. Line up slots in lift arms (H) with mower deck brackets (I).

11. Pull deck slightly forward to lock onto lift arms.

12. Hook front deck hanger (J) onto deck and then onto machine.

13. Move release latch (K) up and lock pin into hole.

14. Start engine and pull back on top hydraulic lever to raise deck to highest position.

15. Turn off engine.

NOTE: Turn all gauge wheel handles down and in towards the machine.

16. Turn gauge wheels to mowing position.

a. Pull back on gauge wheel release rod (L).

b. Turn gauge wheel (M) out, away from deck, and move to desired position.

c. Insert release rod in hole.

17. Adjust mower height control knob to desired position.
