Service Intervals

Daily

• Check tire pressure.

10 Hours

• Lubricate wheel bearings.

• Lubricate casters.

Grease

Preferred greases are as follows:

• John Deere Multi-Purpose SD Polyurea Grease

• John Deere Multi-Purpose HD Lithium Complex Grease

If not using preferred greases, use a general all-purpose grease with an NLGI grade No.2 rating.

Wet or high speed conditions may require use of a special-use grease. Contact Servicing dealer for information.

Lubricating Wheel Bearings

Lubricate both wheel bearings (A) with a recommended grease.

Lubricating Casters

Lubricate both casters (A) with a recommended grease.

Checking Tire Pressure

Measure tire pressure with an accurate gauge. Correct pressure is 345 kPa (50 psi).

• If tire pressure is too high, deflate tire until correct measurement is obtained.

• If tire pressure is too low, inflate tire until correct measurement is obtained.

Adjusting Dump Cart Latch

NOTE: If dump cart latch does not lock in place when pushing down on cart box, adjust dump cart latch.

1. Unlatch transport latch (B).

2. Loosen lock nut (A). Move bolt in slot until latch locks in place.

3. Secure transport latch.

Adjusting Cover Latch

NOTE: When cover is no longer sealed tightly to bottom rear panel on cart, adjust cover latch by moving latch to a different position on latch bracket. Start with center hole on latch bracket.

1. Remove locking ring (C) and washer (B).

2. Move cover release lever (A) to next higher hole in latch bracket.

3. Put washer on latch rod and fasten with spring locking ring.

4. Push cover latch bracket down to tighten cover.

5. Repeat procedure if cover is still not sealed tightly to bottom rear panel of cart after adjustment is made.
