
Service Steering
Checking and Adjusting Steering Tracking and Creep
1. Park machine safely. (See Parking Safely in the SAFETY section.)
2. Check rear tire pressure and adjust, if necessary. The tires should have equal air pressure. (See the SPECIFICATIONS section.)
3. Start the engine and drive the Spin-Steer to a large, open area.
4. Check tracking.

· Drive the machine forward guiding the steering wheel in a straight path. Do not steer the machine to the left or right.
· The machine should follow a straight path over an extended distance.
5. Adjust tracking if necessary. Do not over-adjust.

· If the machine pulls to the left, rotate adjusting bolt (A) clockwise.
· If the machine pulls to the right, rotate adjusting bolt (A) counterclockwise.
6. Check steering creep.

· Stop the machine on a flat level surface.
· Take foot off brake pedal.
· The machine should not move to the left or right.
7. Adjust creep if necessary.

· If the machine begins turning to the left, rotate adjusting bolt (A) clockwise.
· If the machine begins turning to the right, rotate adjusting bolt (A) counterclockwise.
Replacing Steering Filters
1. Park machine safely. (See Parking Safely in the SAFETY section.)
2. Remove right rear tire.

3. Remove vacuum filters (A), one from each steering actuator (B).
4. Position two new filters as shown and snap into place.
5. Install rear tire.
Cleaning Area Around Transmission and Steering Switches
1. Park machine safely. (See Parking Safely in the SAFETY section.)

2. Clean grass and debris from area around transmission and steering switches (A) with rag, brush, vacuum or compressed air.
