Using Troubleshooting Chart

If you are experiencing a problem that is not listed in this chart, see your John Deere dealer for service.

When you have checked all the possible causes listed and you are still experiencing the problem, see your John Deere dealer.

Check

Fill Indicator Prematurely Shows Hopper Is Full

Plugged chute.

Fill Indicator Not Working

Air flow pickup tube damaged, plugged, or not installed properly.

Not All Grass Is Picked Up

Grass is too wet.

Throttle speed too slow.

Travel speed too fast.

Grass bags are full.

Hopper exhaust screen is dirty.

Plugged chute or POWER FLOW.

Plugged or dirty mower deck.

Incorrect or dull mower blades.

Mower deck not leveled properly.

Mower cutting height too low.

Grass Clippings Trail Behind Or Blow To The Side Of Mower

Plugged chute.

Problem with the POWER FLOW.

Grass bags are full.

POWER FLOW Or Chute Plugs

Grass too wet.
