Using Troubleshooting Chart

If you are experiencing a problem that is not listed in this chart, see your authorized dealer for service.

When you have checked all the possible causes listed and you are still experiencing the problem, see your authorized dealer.

MCS Cart

IF

CHECK

Load is “locked” in cover.

Pull cover release handle toward you several times to shake load free of cover.

Too much effort required to dump the cart.

Dump load from ground.

Decrease load manually.

Check lift assist cylinder.

Cannot reach dump lever.

Dump load from ground.

Dump lever will not unlatch.

Unlatch transport latch.

Cover does not open.

Fasten chain to bracket on tractor fender deck.

Cover does not open far enough.

Shorten chain fastened to tractor fender deck.

Load does not dump clean.

Drive tractor forward (a few feet) while cart is in dump position.

Power flow chute clogs.

Stop collecting when cart fill indicator window is covered mid-way.

Grass is too wet. Wait for drier conditions.

Power flow chute hits fender deck or tire.

Adjust cart mounting by moving further to the right.

Grass leaks out between rear of cover and cart.

Adjust tension on cover release rod by moving rod to next hole in handle towards rear of cart.

Dump latch lever does not align/engage with slot in drawbar.

Adjust latch lever adjusting bolt and spacer in lever mounting bracket.

Cart will not follow ground contours. cart travel impaired by chain.

Chain too short.

Lengthen chain, one link at a time.

Caster wheels wobble.

Some wobble is normal when towing an empty cart, especially on a paved surface. Use slower speed to reduce wobble.
