Modify Mower Deck Belt Shield

1. Loosen two locknuts (A), and push deck belt shield (B) forward and upward to remove from mower deck.

2. Remove two carriage bolts (C) and locknuts, and remove side shield (D) from deck belt shield. Retain hardware, and set aside side shield for future installation.

NOTE: Do not install belt shield back onto deck at this time. You should install shield after POWER FLOW assembly and belt is installed on deck.

3. Install lip of POWER FLOW deck belt shield (E) below deck shield (B), and secure with two carriage bolts (C) and locknuts just removed. Tighten locknuts to 30 N•m (22 lb-ft).

Install Upper Sheave

1. Install upper sheave (A) onto right spindle sheave (B), lining up slots in upper sheave with holes in spindle sheave. Secure with four M6x16 bolts and M6 nuts (C). Tighten hardware to 9 - 17 N•m (7 - 12 lb-ft).

Install Front Baffle Plate

Prepare Mower Deck

c CAUTION: Avoid injury! Blades are sharp. Always wear gloves when handling blades or working near blades.

1. Turn mower deck over and clean underside.

Install Plate

1. Install front baffle plate (A) onto right front of mower deck with four M8x20 carriage bolts (B) and M8 flange locknuts. Tighten to 10 - 30 N•m (8 - 22 lb-ft).

Install Front Mounting Bracket

NOTE: Remove wheel for easy installation.

1. Install front mounting bracket (A) onto front baffle plate (B) with two M8x20 carriage bolts and M8 flange locknuts (C). Tighten to 20 - 40 N•m (15 - 29 lb-ft).
