Adjusting Transmission Drive Belt Tension

IMPORTANT: Avoid damage! Due to belt stretching, the tension on the transmission drive belt should be adjusted after the first 25 hours of use.

Do not over tension the drive belt. Excess belt tension can cause transmission damage.

Inadequate drive belt tension can cause loss of traction drive.

Check drive belt deflection. Belt should deflect a little (A) with moderate thumb pressure.

If necessary, adjust tension:

· Loosen nut (B).

· Move idler (C) as required to loosen or tighten drive belt.

· Tighten nut (B).

· Check belt deflection again.
