Service Intervals


Servicing Your Machine

IMPORTANT: Avoid damage! Operating in extreme conditions may require more frequent service intervals:

• Engine components may become dirty or plugged when operating in extreme heat, dust or other severe conditions.

• Engine oil can degrade if machine is operated constantly at slow or low engine speeds or for frequent short periods of time.


Please use the following timetables to perform routine maintenance on your machine.

Service Intervals

Daily

• Check all necessary guards and shields are attached

• Check engine oil

• Check transmission oil

• Check fuel levels

• Check safety systems

• Check tires, tire pressures and drive wheel hardware torque.

• Check mower deck drive belts

• Check mower level, cutting height, and blades

• Check steering control linkages and park brake

• Check loose, damaged or missing parts

• Clean grass and debris from mower deck belt

• Clean grass and debris from operator station foot platform

• Clean grass and debris from air intake screens and exhaust systems

• Clean grass and debris from transmissions, fans, and traction drive belt area

Initial Break In (After First 5 Hours)

• Change engine oil and filter

• Check and tighten drive wheel hardware

Every 25 Hours

• Check engine air precleaner element.

Every 50 Hours

• Grease mower deck spindles

• Check air cleaner elements

Every 100 Hours

• Change engine oil and filter (Annually or at hour meter reading, whichever comes first)

• Check traction drive belt

• Clean and regap spark plugs

• Check and clean engine cooling fins under shroud

Every 300 Hours

• Change transmission oil and filter (At hour meter reading).

• Check and adjust valve clearance

Every 500 Hours

• Grease RTN bearing block

• Check and adjust park brake (Annually or hour meter reading, whichever comes first)

Every 750 Hours

• Change spark plugs (Annually or at hour meter reading, whichever comes first)

• Change fuel filter (Annually or at hour meter reading, whichever comes first)

• Clean battery (Annually or at hour meter reading, whichever comes first)
