Servicing Your Machine
IMPORTANT: Avoid damage! Operating in extreme conditions may require more frequent service intervals:
· Engine components may become dirty or plugged when operating in extreme heat, dust or other severe conditions.
· Engine oil may lose efficiency if vehicle is operated constantly at slow or low engine speeds or with frequent short trips.

Please use the following timetables to perform routine maintenance on your machine.
Break In
After First 5 Hours:
· Check and tighten hardware.
· Check tire pressure.
· Check engine oil level.
· Clean radiator screen.
· Check air intake tube.
After First 10 Hours:
· Check and tighten wheel bolts to correct torque.
After First 25 Hours:
· Change engine oil and filter.
Every 50 Hours
· Check tire pressure.
· Clean operator's station and engine compartment.
· Check coolant level.
· Check and tighten hardware.
· Check drive belt condition. HPX Trail Gator 4x4: Check every 200 hours or annually.
· Inspect battery. Clean if necessary.
· Clean front grille.
· Check air intake.
· Lubricate drive line.
· Check brake fluid level.
Every 100 Hours
· Check transaxle oil level.
· Check air cleaner dust unloading valve.
· Check air cleaner element.
· Check spark plug.
· Check wear pads on driven clutch. HPX Trail Gator 4x4: Check every 200 hours or annually.
Every 200 Hours or Annually (whichever comes first)
· Check and tighten wheel bolts to correct torque.
· Change engine oil and filter.
· Change air cleaner element.
· Change fuel filter.
· Clean primary drive clutch.
· HPX Trail Gator 4x4: Check drive belt condition.
· HPX Trail Gator 4x4: Check wear pads on driven clutch.
· Adjust engine valve clearance. (See your John Deere dealer for this service.)
Every 500 Hours or 24 Months
· Replace drive belt.
· Change engine coolant.
· Check spark arrestor.
Every 800 Hours or 24 Months (whichever comes first)
· Change transaxle oil.
· Change AWD oil.
