Field Operation

• Attach the seed drill to the recommended tractor as per the specification sheet.
• Adjust the seed and fertilizer lever positions according to the recommended seed rate and fertilizer rate. For selecting lever position, refer the seed and fertilizer rate chart. If seed type of seed rate does not match with the given chart, please calibrate the seed drill.
• Adjust the depth of sowing by balancing wheel.
• Operate the tractor forward at a speed of 2.5 to 4.5 km/hr.
• During work, avoid turning corners while the implement is working in soil. Always raise the implement in order to reverse or change direction.

CAUTION: Always lower the SEED DRILL to the ground before filling and checking seed level in the seed box. This will keep the rollers from turning while working around them.

1. Always lower the SEED DRILL to the ground, engage tractor parking brake, shut tractor engine off and remove the key before filling the seed and fertilizer box.
2. Release the lid latch handle and open seed and fertilizer box lid till the center latch arms have locked in place. Doing this will keep the lid from falling while filling the box.
3. Fill the seed and fertilizer box from the rear while standing on the ground. Do not step or climb on the drive wheel to fill the seed and fertilizer box . Make sure that the drive wheel is on the ground so it does not turn while filling the box.
4. Check the seed and fertilizer boxes. There should not be any metal piece or any hard material capable of damaging the metering system.
