Fill or Change Hydraulic Air Compressor Oil

A - Cap

Avoid injury. Deactivate SCVs, turn off tractor, and place tractor in park before servicing.

IMPORTANT: Use non-detergent 30W synthetic air-compressor oil ISO 100 (John Deere™ TY27029 or equivalent).

NOTE: Park on level surface.

To aid filling, use a funnel.


Fill Compressor with Oil

  1. Remove cap (A).

  2. Add oil to reservoir (B) until oil is visible in the middle of the sight glass (C).

  3. Reinstall cap (A).


Change the Compressor Oil

  1. A86722

    A - Cap

    B - Reservoir

    C - Drain Hose

    D - Drain Valve

    Remove cap (A) to help vent reservoir (B) while draining.


  2. Place container under drain hose (C).

  3. Open drain valve (D) and collect oil.

  4. Close drain valve.

  5. Add specified quantity of oil to reservoir (B) until oil is visible in the middle of the sight glass.
