Operating the Drill in the Field
The drill must now be converted from the transport mode to operating
mode.
If not already done, attach drill to tractor. See Attaching
and Detaching section.
Unfold wings. See Operating the Machine section.
Extend the track markers and secure them in position. See Operating
the Machine section.
CAUTION: Never stand underneath a raised track marker.
Fill seed hopper with seed.
IMPORTANT: Do not use any part of the drill as a step or foothold.
Beware of obstacles.
NOTE: Make sure that there are no foreign bodies or other types
of seed in the seed hopper. Check that the hopper trapdoor is closed
and that there is no water in the manifold. With some
types of seed (grass, rape), it is advisable to fill the seed hopper
only up to the underside of the removable sieve to ensures smoother
flow of seed.
Couple the drill to the hydraulic system. See Attaching and
Detaching Section.
Couple up the electronic Signus/GreenStar system. See Signus Seed
Drill Monitor System section or GreenStar™ Seed Drill Monitor
System section.
