Hydraulic and Electrical Connections

Escaping fluid under pressure can penetrate the skin causing
serious injury to you or others. Relieve pressure before disconnecting
hydraulic or other lines. Tighten all connections before applying
pressure. Keep hands and body away from pinholes and nozzles which
eject fluids under high pressure. Use a piece of cardboard or paper
to search for leaks. Do not use your hand.If ANY fluid
is injected into the skin, it must be surgically removed within a
few hours by a doctor familiar with this type injury or gangrene may
result.
Refer to CONNECTING DRILL TO TRACTOR in this section, to properly
connect hydraulic, electrical and brake circuits to the tractor.
NOTE: To help identify and properly connect hoses, Hose Identification
Kits (A) are provided with the machine. SCV I can be identified with
mark (I), SCV II with mark (II) and so on.
Attach hydraulic hoses for lifting openers/track markers.
Attach hydraulic hoses for folding outer units.
Attach hydraulic hoses for hydrostatic blower.
CAUTION: The maximum tractor hydraulic system pressure allowed
is 20 684 kPa (3000 PSI).
IMPORTANT: For operating blower, a pressure-free oil return
must be provided on the tractor. Have the necessary parts installed
by your John Deere dealer.
Attach warning light plug to tractor electrical outlet. (If
not so equipped, RE17282 kit for 7-terminal auxiliary outlet is required
on tractor.)
