    A - Pin

    B - Safety Chain

Back tractor into position and attach the hitch link to drawbar using pin (A). Verify that hitch pin is secured with spring strap or hex nut.

  2. CAUTION: A safety chain helps control drawn equipment if it separates from the drawbar while transporting. A runaway machine could cause severe injury or death. Using the appropriate adapter parts, attach the chain to the tractor drawbar support or other specified anchor location. Provide only enough slack in thechain to permit turning. See your John Deere dealer for a chain with a strength rating equal to or greater than the gross weight of the towed machine.

Attach safety chain (B) to tractor drawbar.

    A - Drain Coupler

    B - Hydraulic Hoses

Attach hydraulic motor case drain hose to the low-pressure drain coupler (A).

CAUTION: Escaping fluid under pressure can penetrate the skin, causing serious injury. Avoid the hazard by relieving pressure before attaching hydraulic hoses to couplers.

Hydraulic hoses can fail due to physical damage, kinks, age, and exposure. Check hoses regularly. Replace damaged hoses.

  4. Attach hydraulic hoses (B) to the tractor SCV ports.
