Adjust Wing Fold Operation—Single-Rank Machine (100 bu)

If wings do not fold against their stops or if cylinder is not fully retracted when wing is against the stop, perform the following procedure.

  1. IMPORTANT: Be sure that the wings are completely unfolded before performing this procedure.

    Turn tractor off.

  2. Mechanical SCV Controls: Move SCV II back and forth to relieve pressure on wing cylinders.

    Electro/Hydraulic SCV Controls: Place SCV II in “float” position to relieve pressure on wing cylinders.

    Loosen rod end set screw (A).


  4. Adjust rod length with wrench on flat portion of rod.

  5. Tighten set screw and fold wings.

    Fold is properly adjusted when wing rests against stops (A) and cylinder rod pin (B) is at the bottom of the slot.

    E - U-Bolts

    F - Wing Support

    Loosen nuts (A) on right-hand and left-hand wing support brackets (B).


  8. Loosen U-bolts (E) and cap screws and plates (C).

  9. Slide wing supports (F) against wings (D) and snug U-bolts.

  10. Place mark on frame behind wing stop.

  11. Lower wings, move wing supports out 6 mm (1/4 in) from mark and tighten all hardware.

  12. IMPORTANT: Avoid damage. Wings must rest against front and rear supports.

    Raise wings and check for contact. Move wing supports out as necessary to obtain firm contact.
