Determine Manifold Pressure

NOTE: Ambient air temperature and altitude can both effect air flow. Adjust manifold pressure when these conditions affect performance.

Manifold pressure is correctly set when:

  • Equal amounts of product are delivered to each boot.
  • Tubes and hoses do not plug.
  • Hoses empty quickly and evenly when shut down.
  • Seed is not blowing out of seed trench.

Adjust pressure upward if plugging occurs. High seeding speeds or high seeding rates require higher manifold pressure setting.
