Opener Down-Pressure System

Down-pressure does not function.

Hydraulic lock-up valve closed.

Open hydraulic lock-up valve.

Pressure gauge near zero when openers are lowered and SCV lever is held forward for a few seconds.

Hose routing between pressure control valve and cylinders incorrect.

Correct hose routings.

Pressure gauge shows pressure as openers are raised.

Hose routing between pressure control valve and cylinders incorrect.

Correct hose routings.

Openers rise when SCV lever is held forward, and lower when held rearward.

Hydraulic hoses are connected to tractor incorrectly.

Reverse hoses in SCV coupler.

Pressure gauge shows zero when openers are down.

Valve in float or neutral position.

Push SCV control forward until detent click is heard. Set time detent to “continuous” on tractors with electro/hydraulic SCV controls.

Openers do not “float” over undulating ground.

SCV lever not in forward position.

Push SCV control forward until detent click is heard. Set time detent to “continuous” on tractors with electro/hydraulic SCV controls.
