A - Adjusting Wrench
Avoid excessive wheel wear. Do not overtighten the gauge
wheels.When assembled, the gauge wheels and the disk
blades must be free to turn with minimal resistance.
To prevent the buildup of soil or residue between the gauge
wheels and the opener blades, adjust the gauge wheels.
Rotate the gauge wheel. Verify that the wheel is slightly touching
the disk or less than the maximum specification away from the blades
at their closest approach.

To adjust the gauge wheel, hold the cap screw with one wrench
and turn the adjustment nut with another wrench (A). To move the wheel
closer to the blade, turn the nut counterclockwise. To move the wheel
away from the blade, turn the nut clockwise.
Tighten the cap screw to specification.
