Two Point Hitch Stands

Drawbar Hitch Stands
A - Drilled Pin (2 used)
B - Spring Locking Pin (2 used)
Raise hitch enough to lower stands to storage position.

Remove spring lock pins (B) and drilled pins (A) and lower hitch
stands.

NOTE: Handle of pin (A) is positioned toward tractor.
Install drilled pins (A) and spring locking pins (B).

CAUTION: Avoid injury from hydraulic oil injection. Relieve
hydraulic system pressure before disconnecting hoses.
NOTE: Not necessary to turn off tractor when detaching machine
from John Deere Tractors with ISO couplers.
Lower machine onto ground or onto service locks. (See Lower
or Raise Machine in Transport Position For Fill or Service in Operating
Machine section.)

Refer to Tractor Operator's Manual for selective control valve
(SCV) operation.

Place SCV levers in “Float” position and frame control
switch in “PLANT” position. Place drawbar control switch
in “HITCH” position, if equipped.

Depress all remaining frame control switches in both directions.
-
Place frame control switch in “TRANS” position.
-
Depress all remaining frame control switches in both directions.

Turn tractor key switch off.

24R CCS -If Equipped with Frame Weight Distribution: Before disconnecting planter hydraulic hoses, verify that no pressure
is registered on the frame weight distribution gauge.

A - Hoses, Hydraulic
B - Connector, 7-Pin
Disconnect all hydraulic hoses (A) and 7-pin connector (B).
Place hoses and harness into holding bracket as illustrated.

Disconnect all harnesses.

Disconnect liquid herbicide hoses (if equipped).

On Drawbar Hitch Machines: Remove
hitch pin.

On Two Point Hitch Machines: Raise
handles on tractor quick coupler and lower the tractor rockshaft until
the quick coupler is below the machine hitch pins.

Drive tractor away slowly.

If the planter uses the tractor power generation, (see Tractor
Power Generation section for removal procedure).
