    A - Fittings

    B - Hose Loop

Avoid serious injury from fluid injection. Do not connect or disconnect hoses with the tractor engine running.

NOTE: The recommended procedure is to flush the IRHD system each time the planter hydraulics are connected to a tractor.

    Turn off the tractor.

  2. NOTE: The power beyond circuit powers the down force system.

Connect the power beyond hoses to the tractor, following the planter operator’s manual guidelines.

  3. NOTE: To flush the entire system, connect the hose loop (B) to any section. If a section was recently repaired, connect the loop to that section.

There are fittings (A) on one end of each IRHD section. Locate the fittings, remove the fitting caps, and attach the hose loop (B).

  4. Keep bystanders clear and start the tractor.

  5. To force the tractor pump to high pressure, engage an unused selective control valve (SCV) into the continuous detent position.

  6. To flush the system, allow the hydraulics to flow for a minimum of two minutes.

  7. Disengage the SCV, reduce the engine to low idle, and shut off the tractor.

  8. Disconnect the hose loop and install the protective caps on the fittings.

  9. Disconnect and store the hose loop before planting.
