NOTE: Before replacing the seed bowl disk, properly set the
meters and the vacuum.
If the metering performance is
satisfactory, it is not necessary to replace the seed bowl disk.

C - Wear Example
D - Wear Example
Check the seed bowl disk for wear in the following areas
and replace as needed.
A small amount of wear (A) around the perimeter of the bowl
disk is acceptable. If worn, check for seed loss through the gap between
the bowl disk and the housing.
Seed loss is eliminated with hub adjustments. (See Adjust The
Meter Hub Height in the ExactEmerge™ Meter Operation section.)
Inspect the individual seed cells. Seed abrasion wears sharp
edges on the seed cells (B) and increases the cell size. (Increased
cell size causes overpopulation when planting small seed or causes
under-population when planting large seed). Replace the seed bowl
disk if the cell size is increased and field checks determine a reduction
in accuracy.
Small grooves or scratches (C) are acceptable on the vacuum
side of the seed bowl disk.
Wear around the perimeter (D) of the bowl disk is acceptable
up to an approximate depth of 1.0 mm (3/64 in).
