Adjust the Double Eliminator

    B - Double Eliminator

    Open the seed meter cover and remove the seed bowl.



  2. Squeeze the tabs (A) on the double eliminator (B).

  3. NOTE: To retain the new position, release the tabs on the double eliminator and verify that the tabs snap into a locked position.

    E - Soybean Position

    Slide the eliminator until the pointer (A) is level with the adjustment line required.

    If the number of soybeans exceed 7700 per kg (3500 per lb), use the less aggressive position (C).

    • The middle position (B) is the standard position for most crops.
    • NOTE: If skips are present, first verify that the knock out wheel is engaged with the holes in the seed bowl. (See Knockout Wheel Operation in this section.)
      NOTE: If multiples are present, first verify whether the double eliminator Tines or Brushes are worn down and needing replacement. (See Inspect and Service the Meter in the ExactEmerge™ Service and Adjustments.)
      If the monitor shows that skips are occurring and increasing the vacuum does not help, use position (C).
    • If the monitor shows that multiples are occurring and decreasing the vacuum does not help, use position (D).
    • Disengaged position (E) is for soybeans.

To retain the new position, release the tabs on the double eliminator and verify that the tabs snap into a locked position.

When reading the pointer position is difficult, use the top of the double eliminator in relation to the rear support as an indicator of position.

  • The left side of the eliminator is level with the left side of the support (A) when in a less aggressive position.
  • The middle of the eliminator is level with the middle of the support (B) when in the standard adjustment position.
  • The right side of the eliminator is level with the right side of the support (C) when in an aggressive position.
