Adjust 12 and 16 Row Fertilizer Transmission Wheel (Engage Drive and Upward Travel Stop Points)

The fertilizer transmission engages when the planter is lowered into planting position (transmission wheel contacts drive wheel) and disengages when the planter is raised.

NOTE: To engage the drive wheel earlier on the planter, increase dimension (B). To engage the drive wheel later on the planter, decrease dimension (B).

To establish an engagement point of the transmission wheel with the drive wheel, adjust cap screw (A). As a starting point, adjust dimension (B) to 200 mm (7-7/8 in.).

Perform the following adjustments on the fertilizer transmission when setting a stop point:

  1. Lower machine into planting position.
  2. To establish a stop point for the upward travel, adjust flange nut (A) approximately 13 mm (1/2 in) from plate (B). This adjustment prevents contact with the CCS™ tank frame.
  3. Tighten the nut.
