Model Year 2014 9R Tractor with High Flow Hydraulic Shown

9R Tractors (—Model Year 2013)

9R Tractors (Model Year 2014 and Up)

High flow hydraulics uses two hydraulic pumps providing up to 295 L/min (78 gal/min) of hydraulic flow. SCVs I, II, and III are powered by a pump providing 182 L/min (48 gal/min) of hydraulic flow. SCVs IV and V are powered by a pump providing 114 L/min (30 gal/min) of hydraulic flow.

Functions that require high flow with low pressure, like the blower motors, are connected to SCVs III and IV. All functions requiring high pressure with low flow, such as hydraulic cylinders are connected to SCVs I and II. Connecting in this way helps the system run cooler by not producing excessive heat.

High flow hydraulics uses two hydraulic pumps providing up to 435 L/min (115 gal/min) of hydraulic flow. SCVs I, II, and III are powered by a pump providing 218 L/min (57.5 gal/min) of hydraulic flow. SCVs IV and V are powered by a pump providing 218 L/min (57.5 gal/min) of hydraulic flow.

Functions that require high flow with low pressure, like the blower motors, are connected to SCVs III and IV. All functions requiring high pressure with low flow, such as hydraulic cylinders are connected to SCVs I and II. Connecting in this way helps the system run cooler by not producing excessive heat.

If machine hydraulic hoses are not equipped with circuit identification tags, a service kit containing all tags is available. Tag service kit AA78772 is available from your John Deere dealer.

Extend and Retract symbols are on SCV cover and hose connections.

Refer to the tractor operator's manual for specific hydraulic operational details.

Avoid hydraulic hose failure due to physical damage, kinks, age, and exposure. Inspect hoses regularly. Replace damaged hoses.

Avoid motor seal damage. Connect the case drain hose before any other hose. Connect the blower return hoses to a tractor “extend” SCV. Move tractor SCV lever to float (not neutral) position to shut off the blower.

1 Adjust as necessary for proper response.
2 Case drain hose must be attached before any other hose being connected.
3 N/A = Not Applicable
4 Move SCV lever to Float position to disengage the blower.
5 See diagram on previous page for proper location of connections.
