Slope Grade Profiles
A - 9% Grade (5 degrees)
B - 18% Grade (10 degrees)
C - 27% Grade (15 degrees)
D - Flat Ground

1910 Air Cart Rear Hitch | Capacity | 9979 kg (22 000 lb) |
For the unlisted seeding tools use the following rules:
For slopes up to 9% Grade (5 degrees) (A):
-
Total weight of towed implement must not exceed the rear hitch
capacity on the air cart.
-
Combined weight of the loaded cart plus the towed implement
must not exceed the rated capacity of the rear hitch on the seeding
tool.
For slopes from 9% to 18% Grade (10 degrees) (B):
-
Total weight of the towed implement must not exceed 0.5 times
the seeding tool weight or exceed the rear hitch capacity on the air
cart.
-
Combined weight of loaded cart plus the towed implement must
not exceed 2.5 times the seeding tool weight.
-
Combined weight of loaded cart plus the towed implement must
not exceed the rated capacity of the rear hitch on the seeding tool.
For slopes from 18% to 27% Grade (10—15 degrees):
-
Total weight of the towed implement must not exceed 0.5 times
the seeding tool weight or exceed the rear hitch capacity on the air
cart.
-
Combined weight of loaded cart plus the towed implement must
not exceed 2.0 times the seeding tool weight.
-
Combined weight of loaded cart plus the towed implement must
not exceed the rated capacity of the rear hitch on the seeding tool.
For slopes above 27% Grade (15 degrees) (C):
-
Tow-Behind carts are not compatible with slopes above 27% grade.
The tank fill levels for road transport are less
than field fill levels. (See Calculate Maximum Commodity Weight for
Road transport.)
See Operation or Transport on Hillsides in the Transporting
section for more information.
