Attach Machine to Tow-Between Air Cart

Use a signal person to direct tractor and seed cart movement. Seed cart blocks tractor operator's view of seeding tool hitch point. Know hand signals and what each signal means before moving. Move slowly and follow signal person's directions to avoid a crushing accident which could cause severe injury or death to someone. Do not stand between air cart and implement while cart and tractor are in motion.

    B - Chain

    Align hitch and attach with pin (A).


  2. Safety chains help control drawn equipment in case accidental separation from drawbar occurs during transport. A runaway machine could cause severe injury or death to someone. Provide only enough slack in chain to permit turning.

    Verify proper safety chain rating.

    Attach safety chain (B) to seed cart hitch.

    Escaping fluid under pressure can penetrate the skin, causing serious injury. Avoid the hazard by relieving pressure before attaching hydraulic hoses to couplers.

    Hydraulic hoses can fail due to physical damage, kinks, age, and exposure. Check hoses regularly. Replace damaged hoses.
