Switch 3-Section 1890 from 38 cm (15 in) to 19 cm (7.5 in) Row Spacing

  1. Do not change seed tool configuration info on SeedStar™ control.

    A - Half-Width Disconnect Handles

    Lower half-width disconnect handles (A) on the cart to open product flow to all runs. (See Meter Setup and Operation section of 1910 Commodity Air Cart Operator's Manual.)

    A - Agitators

    B - Hairpins

    Hairpins (B) for agitators (A) must be installed on all active runs for proper seeding performance. (See Meter Setup and Operation section of 1910 Commodity Air Cart Operator's Manual.)



  3. If equipped with a blockage warning system, ensure that the SeedStar™ setup has sensors turned on for all active runs to allow proper performance of the blockage system. (See Monitor Setup for Air Cart section of 1910 Commodity Air Cart Operator's Manual.)

  4. If equipped with seed counting, ensure that the SeedStar™ setup has seed counting turned on for all active runs to allow proper performance of seed counting system. (See Monitor Setup for Air Cart section of 1910 Commodity Air Cart Operator's Manual.)

    A - Hydraulic Lock-Up Valve, Front Rank

    B - Hydraulic Lock-Up Valve, Rear Rank

    Raise all openers on tool fully, and open both hydraulic lock-up valves (A) and (B) for 19 cm (7.5 in) spacing.



  6. If meter rollers were changed for 38 cm (15 in) spacing, ensure proper meter rollers are installed in all active runs. (See Meter Setup and Operation section of 1910 Commodity Air Cart Operator's Manual.)

  7. Calibrate meters according to procedure specified in 1910 Commodity Cart Operator's Manual. Doing this procedure gives the correct transmission setting for a desired seed rate.
