Failed Messages
With the system in operation, if the seed rate in any row falls below two seeds per second, the alarm will sound and the number of the failed rows is displayed without a population. The messages ROW and FAILED are displayed, and the audible alarm sounds continuously. This overrides any other display.
When the planter is stopped, the monitor continues to display the failed message, but the alarm will stop after a few seconds. With the planter stopped, the right-hand switches can be operated to review population for the last 1/200th of an acre.

The loudness of the audible alarm can be changed by rotating the alarm cover (A) on bottom of monitor.
When planting is resumed, if the problem causing the alarm condition has not been corrected, the alarm will sound and the message will be displayed. If the condition has been corrected, the monitor resumes in the display mode it was in before the failure occurred.

If the radar signal is lost due to a poor connection, pinched harness or failed radar sensor, the seed population, area or ground speed cannot be computed. FAILED, SPEED will be shown.
The sensor problem should be fixed as soon as possible, but if planting must be continued, the monitor will still monitor seed flow. If the rate in any row falls below two seeds per second, the row failed message will be displayed.
