Bleeding Hydraulic Lift System (6-RW and 8-RN)

If the planter is not raising and lowering level (side-to-side), proceed as follows:

Raise planter fully with tractor remote cylinder operating lever. Turn tractor off and place remote cylinder operating lever in neutral.

Attach bleeder hose (A) to bleeder valve (B) on wheel module cylinder with hose clamp.

CAUTION: When bleeding the wheel module cylinders, open the bleeder valve slowly to prevent injury from hydraulic oil, or from sudden wheel movement.

IMPORTANT: To prevent row units from dragging sideways on the ground, be certain to alternate sides of planter when bleeding wheel module cylinders.

Slowly open bleeder valve on each life cylinder. Be sure to alternate bleeding cylinders on both sides of planter.

Allow oil to flow until it is free of air foam. Repeat as required.

Tighten bleeder valves after completion of bleeding procedure.
