Changing Planting Rate Sprocket Combinations (1750 Standard)

Remove rubber sprocket spacers (A).

Loosen set screw (B), jam nut and chain tightener bracket.

Remove chain from sprockets and slide desired driver and driven sprockets (C) and (D) into alignment with chain tightener and replace chain. When changing HI-LOW combination sprocket (E), sprocket must be removed and turned over. This combination sprocket CANNOT be slid on the shaft when changing from one setting to another. Replace rubber sprocket spacers between sprockets as required.

Pivot tightener in the direction which provides maximum chain wrap on smaller sprocket. Pivot the tightener until there is approximately 19 mm (3/4 in.) slack on tight side of chain. Tighten set screw.

IMPORTANT: Be certain sprockets are aligned properly with idler and attached with rubber spacers. Check to be sure chain runs freely on selected sprockets; improper alignment can cause drive failures.
