Attaching to Tractor (4-Row and 6-RN)

Back tractor up to planter hitch. Use jack to align clevis with tractor drawbar.

NOTE: It may be necessary to reposition clevis (A) to level the planter. ( See Leveling in Operating the Planter section.)

Attach planter hitch to tractor drawbar with hitch pin (B) and spring locking pin.

Route safety chain through support (A). Wrap chain around tractor drawbar support and attach as shown.

Remove jack from hitch.

Attach jack in storage position at rear of hitch with retaining pin (A) and quick-lock pin.

If planter is equipped with liquid herbicide attachment, connect planter system feeder hoses to tractor mounted liquid herbicide pressure supply system (customer supplied).
