Priming and Initial Start Up of Pump
1.
Close shutoff valves at filler.
2.
Fill tanks half full of water and check system for leaks.
3.
Open shutoff valves to pumps.
IMPORTANT:
Remove plug in pump crankcase and replace with the breather plug, that is wired to a red tag on the pump.

Lower planter to planting position and move 100 to 200 yards. Close shutoff valves to pumps.
NOTE:
To facilitate priming of the pump start at the maximum rate, and/or open one of the special fitting at the check valve (A). BE SURE not to lose the diaphragm in the check valve. If reassembly is required the NIB on the diaphragm fits into hole in the end cap assembly.
5.
Remove strainer screen and check for foreign material. Clean if necessary.
6.
Select rate of fertilizer using rate charts.
