Selective Control Valve Lever Stop (Row Crop Tractor)

Operation of the vacuum meter hydraulic system requires continuous hydraulic system flow. A selective control valve lever stop must be used to prevent the selective control valve lever from returning to the neutral position.

IMPORTANT: Damage to the vacuum pump motor may occur if operated without lever stop (A).

The pump motor will operate when SCV lever is in forward detent position (shown in photo). To shut off pump motor, move lever forward into FLOAT position.

Flow control valve must be plugged into the retract port on tractor SCV ( See "Vacuum Metering System").

To install selective control valve lever stop, proceed as follows:

1. Push SCV lever (A) forward against float stop (B).

2. Measure dimension (C).

3. Cut rubber strip to dimension (C).

4. Insert rubber stop (A) in slot with "V" groove side down behind the selective control lever.

5. If the rubber strip is not the correct length, the SCV could have a high-pressure leak to return.

6. Check by moving the lever from FLOAT to running position with the blower motor DISCONNECTED from the tractor. The tractor hydraulic system should not make any noise when the lever is in the run position.

If the pump starts pumping, the tractor valve linkage is mis-adjusted.
