Fertilizer System

1. Close all shutoff valves.

2. Disconnect drive chain from pump.

3. Disconnect pump suction hose at strainer.

4. Place hose in container (5 gal) of warm water. Open nozzle check valve and turn pump by hand to flush salts from pump, manifold screens and nozzles.

5. Replace water with straight recreational vehicle antifreeze. Turn pump by hand and circulate antifreeze into pump. Plug off hoses and connect hose to strainer.

6. Remove and clean manifold orifice disk strainers with warm water.

7. If planter is equipped with a mechanical pressure gauge, flush out line to pressure gauge.
