Connecting Wiring Harnesses and Hydraulic Hoses to Four-Wheel Drive Tractors (60-70 Series Tractors)

causym CAUTION: To avoid injury from escaping hydraulic oil under pressure, relieve the pressure in the system before shutting off tractor. With key on, push the number 1 operating lever in both directions before operating lever in both directions attaching hoses to or detaching hoses from the breakaway couplers.

Hydraulic hoses can fail due to physical damage, kinks, age and exposure. Check hoses regularly. Replace damaged hoses.

NOTE: Not necessary to turn off tractor if attaching planter to John Deere Tractors with ISO couplers.

2. Connect warning lamp connector (B) to seven pin connector.

3. Connector monitor (C) and folding planter control (D) to tractor connector.

4. If planter is equipped with variable rate drive, connect pressure hose (E) and return hose (F) (with cap) into breakaway coupler number 2.

5. (Vacuum System Only) Insert flow control valve pressure hose (G) into right-hand side of breakaway coupler as illustrated.

6. (Vacuum System Only) Install hydraulic regulated flow (pressure) hoses (H) in coupler as illustrated.
