Check singling brush for wear. If brush thickness is less than 3 mm (1/8 in.), or if the upper tip of brush (A) is below the top of the green retaining brush (B) when assembled in the meter, replace the singling brush. The rate of brush wear varies with field conditions, and is accelerated under sandy soil conditions.
4.
Inspect the green retaining brush for wear. Development of a groove in the brush fibers above the singling brush is an indication that the singling brush needs to be replaced more frequently.
