Vacuum Level, Baffle Position and Vacuum Meter Brush for Corn Seed Using Large Sweet Corn Disk

For corn, use the seed corn supplier's information to calculate the seed size in seeds per pound.

EXAMPLE: If seeds per pound is 2,100 referring to the chart, the vacuum level should be set at 11 in. when using the Large Sweetcorn Disk.

IMPORTANT: The 11 in. vacuum level above is an example on how to use the chart. You must calculate the proper vacuum level for each corn variety.

VACUUM METER BAFFLE: Move tab (A).

For corn, use upper position (B).

Adjust double eliminator as follows:

The double eliminator should be positioned to cover from 1/4 to 1/2 of the vacuum hole. The tooth to the far right of the double eliminator (one under the adjusting screw) is used. Set the double eliminator to the 1/4 position for seeds between 900 and 2000 seeds per pound. Set the double eliminator to the 1/2 position for seeds between 2000 and 3200 seeds per pound.
