IMPORTANT:
For proper planter operation, it is important that the planter frame be fully lowered into the correct planting position. Achieving this position can be difficult with some attachment combinations, especially when planting in hard to penetrate soil conditions. If this situation is encountered, the following action may be warranted:
Reduce attachment down force levels. Avoid using more attachment down force than is required.
DO NOT put SCV lever into FLOAT when raising and lowering the planter. The correct procedure for raising and lowering the planter is to POWER completely UP or DOWN.
(1710 Only) When the planter is completely down, the SCV lever may be put into float to allow additional travel of the marker and lift assist wheels in severe conditions.
