2.
All rows are connected and pressure can be relieved from them using valve (A). Valve (B) is not used.
IMPORTANT:
Do not leave compressor on while planting. Compressor may be damaged if allowed to run more than 7 minutes. Allow 30 minutes for compressor to cool down before operating again. Use shop air to preset down force and use compressor to make small in-field adjustments.
3.
To increase system pressure (increase down force), turn the compressor on using the toggle switch (C). (Note that power to the compressor is tied to the tractor ignition switch. The compressor will not run if the ignition switch is in the "off" position.) When the desired setting is reached, turn the compressor off.
4.
To relieve system pressure (lower downforce), turn valve 90 degrees. Monitor the gauge until the desired setting is reached, then turn the valve back to its original position.
5.
Any leak in excess of 69 kPa (.7 bar) (10 psi) within 10 hours is considered excessive. If this problem occurs, check all connections with soap and water in the following order:
a.
Compressor fittings - if leaking, tighten or re-tape threads with thread tape and reinstall fittings.
b.
Compression T-fittings - if leaking, verify hose is pushed completely into coupler.
c.
If leak persists at coupler-relive pressure valve, proceed as follows using valves at compressor:
1.
Remove hose from coupler by simultaneously pushing green compression ring and gently pulling air line out of fitting.
2.
Cut hose tip off clean/square and reinstall hose in coupler by pushing hose fully into coupler.
6.
Threaded swivel (where fitting screws into top of air spring) - If leaking, tighten fitting or re-tape threads with thread tape and reinstall fitting.
