Filling Marker Hydraulic Cylinders

causym CAUTION: Before operating, be sure cylinders and attaching hoses are fully charged with oil. Failure to do so will allow markers to fall rapidly when attempting to lower from transport position.

After servicing machine, always cycle cylinders with marker transport locks still in place. This will fill hydraulic marker cylinders with oil and prevent markers from falling when marker transport locks are removed.

causym CAUTION: When bleeding the marker hydraulic cylinders, loosen flared fitting slowly to prevent injury from high pressure oil.

If injured by escaping fluid, see a doctor at once. Serious infection or reaction can develop if proper medical treatment is not administered immediately.

causym CAUTION: Stay clear. Disk blade will move away from marker arm and marker will lower as fitting is loosened.

Loosen flared hydraulic fitting (A) on base end of marker cylinders.

Retighten fitting when marker has lowered completely.

Raise markers and repeat procedure until all air and foam have been removed from marker hydraulic system.

If the oil is caught in a clean container and is not contaminated, it can be poured back into the tractor. However, if the oil is quite foamy, allow it to stand until the air is gone before pouring it back into the tractor.

Check the oil in the tractor and add as necessary.

Move the remote cylinder control valve lever back to the RABBIT position.
