Seed Knockout Wheel
The seed knockout wheel (A) is used to insure that certain seed types are fully released from seed cell. Wheel projections engage seed cell holes, forcing all seeds and foreign material to be ejected.
The seed knockout wheel is required when planting sorghum, mono-germ sugar beet and sweet corn seed. Sugar beet and sweet corn seed can have sharp edges and is typically irregular in shape, creating a potential for seeds to become lodged in the seed cell. Some sorghum seed contains large amounts of foreign material which can also become trapped in cell or cell holes.
