IMPORTANT:
It is necessary to perform final injection nozzle adjustments in the field. Ensure each fertilizer nozzle is directly behind and centered over coulter furrow. Operate machine for a short distance and check each nozzle for correct alignment. Nozzle-to-coulter alignment is adjusted correctly when no fertilizer splatters on coulter during operation.
NOTE:
Avoid bending fertilizer tube.
NOTE:
Nozzle tip (A) can be changed to adjust fertilizer system pressure. See LIQUID FERTILIZER RATE CHARTS in Liquid Fertilizer Piston Pump section for proper tip.
Set nozzle tip (A) 13 mm (1/2 in.) above soil surface with adjusting bracket (B). Coulter depth may be adjusted up to 51 mm (2 in.) below seed depth, and up to 102 mm (4 in.) below ground surface using cap screws (C). Adjust coulter accordingly to compensate for wear.
