IMPORTANT:
To prevent damage to piston pump:
Keep air out of pump. Getting air into the pump will cause rapid and severe corrosion to the interior pump components, even for short periods of storage.
Keep pump from freezing.
Remove drive chain when not in use.
OVERNIGHT/CLEAR LIQUIDS:
1.
During steady or rising temperatures, leave pump and hoses filled with solution.
2.
During cooling weather (solution is likely to salt out), fill pump with water and leave filled. DO NOT admit air.
SUSPENSION FERTILIZER:
Fertilizer must be flushed from the pump for any storage period.

ONE TO TWO WEEKS
ACCEPTABLE:
Draw fresh water into pump diluting and flushing out solution. DO NOT DRAIN. Keep pump sealed to exclude air.
PREFERRED:
Flush pump thoroughly with 19L to 38L (5 gal to 10 gal) of fresh water by drawing in through suction lines. Replace water with mixture of John Deere SPRAY MASTER
Winterizer Fluid at the correct ratio to protect system down to the lowest expected temperature. Plug inlet and outlet hoses.
WINTER STORAGE
1.
Flush pump thoroughly with 19 L to 38 L (5 gal to 10 gal) of fresh warm water and circulate until all corrosive salts are dissolved in pump.
2.
With pump set on 10, draw in straight vehicle antifreeze and plug inlet and outlet hoses.
