Locking Up Split Row Units
IMPORTANT:
Avoid damage to planting units. If units are equipped with heavy-duty down force springs, place springs in MINIMUM force settings before attempting to use row lock-up.
If units are equipped with pneumatic down force, maintain a small amount of air pressure 21 kPa to 34 kPa (0.21 bar to 0.34 bar) (3 psi to 5 psi) on split row units so air bags do not kink. If air bags kink when locking up split rows, lower split rows and pressurize to 21 kPa to 34 kPa (0.21 bar to 0.34 bar) (3 psi to 5 psi). Then lock up units.
